About
Sen. Agnes Kavindu Muthama Mbuku is the Senator for Machakos County. She first entered the Senate of Kenya in March 2021 following a by-election and secured a full term in August 2022 under the Wiper Democratic Movement party. Before her career in elective politics, she worked as a commercial farmer, a civic leader, and served as a member of the national building bridges initiative taskforce from 2018 to 2020. She completed her secondary education at Olympic High School and holds certificates in community development. In parliament, she focuses on rural development and women's empowerment, serving as a member of both the Senate Roads, Transportation and Housing committee and the Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries committee.
