About
Lee Maiyani Kinyanjui is the cabinet secretary for investments, trade and industry. He took office following his appointment by President William Ruto, taking responsibility for national trade negotiations, industrial policy, and foreign direct investment mobilization. Prior to joining the cabinet, he focused on regional politics and national transport frameworks. Before his cabinet appointment, Kinyanjui served as the second governor of Nakuru County between 2017 and 2022. In this position, he focused on industrial development, agricultural value chains, urban planning, and infrastructure modernization, leading to the elevation of Nakuru municipality to city status. He also served as the chairperson of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA). From 2007 to 2013, he was the member of parliament for Nakuru Town Constituency and concurrently served as assistant minister for roads in the grand coalition government under President Mwai Kibaki.
