About
Sen. Wakili Hillary Kiprotich Sigei is the Senator for Bomet County. He won election to the Senate of Kenya in August 2022 as a candidate for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party. Before entering politics, he worked for more than fifteen years as a legal practitioner, specializing in commercial litigation, arbitration, and legislative drafting, and served as a founding partner at SMS Advocates LLP. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws from the University of Nairobi, and he is a qualified advocate of the High Court of Kenya. In the Senate, he sits on the Speaker's Panel as a temporary speaker and serves as the chairperson of the Standing Committee on Justice, Legal Affairs and Human Rights.
