Before you start
- The vehicle's unique Chassis number and Engine number must be electronically pushed to your personal or corporate eCitizen portal profile by your clearing agent or the auto dealership.
- All corresponding customs duty taxes must be fully settled with the KRA.
Documents you need
- Clean, scanned color copy of the Foreign Logbook (for imported used vehicles).
- Official Bill of Lading and Certificate of Conformity (CoC) from the country of origin.
- KRA Customs Entry Form (Form C17B) and the official payment release receipt.
- Clear scan of the buyer's National ID Card and KRA PIN Certificate.

Can I choose a specific registration number plate sequence?
Standard, sequential registration numbers (e.g., KDJ...) are assigned by the system automatically at no extra cost. If you desire a specific number configuration or personalized prefix, you must apply under a separate custom plate service layout which incurs premium surcharges.
What official document proves that my vehicle registration is successful?
Upon approval and digital payment authorization, the system immediately generates a downloadable electronic Logbook file on your eCitizen account dashboard which serves as your primary legal title of motor vehicle ownership.
