About
James Lomenen Ekomwa is the Senator for Turkana County. He won election to the Senate of Kenya in August 2022 as a candidate for the Jubilee Party. Before becoming a senator, he served two terms as the Member of Parliament for Turkana South Constituency between 2013 and 2022. He previously worked in community development and peace-building programs for organizations including World Vision Kenya and Uwezo Kenya. He holds a Diploma in Animal Health from Egerton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Moi University.
