Questions

Do I need to declare cash or foreign currency when entering or leaving Kenya?
Yes. Under anti-money laundering regulations, if you are carrying physical cash, travelers' checks, or monetary instruments worth USD 10,000 or more (or its equivalent in any currency), you must disclose it on your F88 form. Failing to declare these funds can lead to immediate border holding and seizure by customs security teams.
Can a Kenyan citizen drive a foreign-registered vehicle inside Kenya under a TIMV pass?
No. Under KRA customs enforcement rules, a Kenyan resident citizen is legally barred from driving a foreign-registered car inside the country unless they hold a valid work permit or residency status from that specific foreign nation, or are accompanied by the foreign owner of the vehicle.
