Questions
What makes the new generation number plates "digital"?
The new generation plates are embedded with microchips and synchronized laser-etched barcodes that store structural vehicle data (including chassis number, owner details, and tax records). This allows law enforcement officers to scan and verify vehicle authenticity instantly on public roads.
Can I legally transfer my personalized custom plates to a different car?
Yes. However, you must log back into your portal, submit a formal plate transfer application, ensure both vehicle logbooks are clean, and pay the corresponding transfer processing surcharges.
